Stevie Wonder Drops Off Son at “Dancing With the Stars: Juniors” Rehearsal

Stevie Wonder’s 13-year old son, Mandla Morris is competing on the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors,” the kid version of “Dancing With the Stars.”

Some of the people went nuts when Stevie showed up at a rehearsal recently. He did spend time with fans in the parking lot.

The Trayvon Martin Docuseries Community Watch Party

“Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story,”  Jay-Z’s documentary series debuted last night on BET and Paramount Network. The series re-examines Trayvon’s life and how his murder jump started the Black Lives Matter Movement.

Finally…Signs of Life at the”Eyesore on I-4″

How long has it been? Actually this building has been under construction for over 17 years!

It has sat empty, unfinished, looking abandoned and forgotten. Over the years it became known as the “Eyesore on I-4,” or the “I-4 Eyesore.”

Many news stories have been reported over the years on the building’s progress, or lack thereof.

But this week, there were signs of life. There were lights on in the building!

Lauryn Hill Cancels a String of Shows

It’s the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th Anniversary Tour and several shows have been canceled, including the one scheduled for this Sunday in St Pete.

Shows for Jacksonville, Charlotte, and Raleigh have also been canceled.

R&B Artist Tank Marries Longtime Girlfriend

He finally did it…jumped the broom, tied the know, got hitched! We knew Tank was engaged to his longtime girlfriend Zena Foster, and last weekend they finally got married.

There were about 200 in attendance at the ceremony held in L.A. Jamie Foxx performed. Other celebrities on hand for the celebration included Michael B. Jordan, Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett, Kim Burrell, Elise Neal, and more.

Now let the honeymoon begin as the couple is headed off to France and Greece!

I’m so glad to see Mary J. Blige being strong and moving forward after a nasty divorce battle and other issues over the last year or so.

Recently, Mary wanted us all to know that she’s doing…just fine. She’s in the studio working on new music after last year’s “Strength of a Woman.”

This week she shared some of her new music on social media and said, “I had a year of so many ups and downs and have come out the other side with a renewed spirit and a fresh perspective.”

NAACP Issues Statement On President Trump’s Supreme Court Nominee

The nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization is NOT happy about Donald Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court.

The NAACP has issued a statement. At one point it reads, “…a Kavanaugh confirmation would re-make the court in President Trump’s own image. This prospect is unacceptable to the American people, and the NAACP is ready to lead the fight of a generation.”

Joe Jackson, Jackson Family Patriarch Dead at 89

Joe Jackson, Patriarch of the Jackson family, has died at the age of 89.

We heard reports last week that he was terminally Ill.
