Judge Judy lets dog loose in courtroom to prove who its owner is

An argument over ownership of a dog landed two parties in front of television judge Judy Sheindlin.

In her own form of Solomon’s Law, rather than cut the dog in half, Sheindlin ordered the dog to be let loose in the courtroom so it could determine who was its owner.

In the clip from the show posted Monday, Sheindlin orders a woman with the defendant to put the dog down, and Baby Boy immediately runs to the plaintiff, wagging its tail and jumping at the man’s leg.

Queen Latifah to Receive Icon Award at Diddy’s 2017 Revolt Music Conference

Queen Latifah will be honored at Diddy’s fourth annual Revolt music conference in October, where performers will include Lauryn Hill and 2 Chainz.

Revolt announced Wednesday that the conference will take place Oct. 12-15 in Miami. Latifah will receive the Icon Award for her accomplishments in music, film and TV. She has won an Emmy, Golden Globe and Grammy Award.

The four-day event will also feature panels and guest speakers. It will be held at the Eden Roc Miami Beach Resort.

Chris Brown says he’s still haunted by the night he beat Rihanna — and remembers going into a blind rage when he busted her lip and she spit blood in his face.

Women pepper-sprayed during brawl at funeral home viewing

A brawl at the Young Lusian Funeral Home during the viewing for a man led to several women being pepper-sprayed.

Officers responded to the funeral home, 2060 Germantown St., around 3:20 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a fight involving several family members.

According to a Dayton police report, a woman arrived at the viewing claiming to be the current girlfriend of the dead man, however the wife asked the woman to be removed from the viewing.

A fight started between the two women and one of the woman’s daughter’s, according to the report.

Shonda Rhimes to leave ABC, join Netflix

TV viewers who are looking forward to new content from Shonda Rhimes won’t find her new programs on basic television.

According to Variety, Rhimes is leaving ABC Studios to pursue a deal with Netflix. The Shondaland production company founder reportedly signed a “multi-year production deal” with the streaming service.

The deal was announced Sunday.

Rhimes had been with ABC for more than 10 years, producing hit shows like “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away With Murder.”

Couple Married 77 Years Buried in Same Casket

‘Til death do us part? No so with one Missouri couple.

Raymond Breuer died earlier this month. His wife Velva was holding his hand. They had been married for 77 years.

Before his death, Raymond mentioned to a nurse that if his spouse passed away about that time they should be buried in the same casket.

Velva Breuer passed away 30 hours after her husband and now they share a single coffin. They were buried holding hands. Together forever.

Brothers pray before first day of school

A Jacksonville mom shared video of her sons praying before the first day of school in Duval County on Monday.

The boys’ mom says the moment of prayer before the start of the school year is now a family tradition.

It started in 2016 when video of the boys’ prayer circle went viral.

This year, seventh-grader Ka’Derian led the prayer for his little brothers, who are elementary school students.

“Since they took prayer out of the schools, they pray before going to school,” their mom told Action News Jax at the start of the 2016 school year.
